Living in Almost Places is inquiry into the visual culture of entrances leading into community developments. I continue to photograph and categorize these markers that note the perimeter, and perhaps character, of neighborhoods. Many entrance signs are kept up by, and imply the existence of, a Home Owner's Association that by law is a private corporation. Community names range from recollections of colonial longings to spaces of new fangled modernisms.
Images compliment a text of the same name.
